Hi, I’m Xander. I’m a software engineer, game developer, and music producer based in NYC. I’m an optimist and a futurist. Here are some things I like.
Currently, I’m a senior engineer at GameDiscoverCo, building tools to help developers and publishers understand the video game market. I also run 9000 Dimensions, an interdimensional studio, and make games at 9000 Games.
Previously, I was the technical director at FuturePerfect, where I led art and technology projects spanning installations, performances, VR experiences, and games. I made an ethereal rage game called Void Climber, which you can find on Steam. I made a VR experience with artist William Kentridge called Starve the Algorithm. I co-founded the art collective The Actual School, hosted a radio show on NTS Radio, and co-founded Apothecary, a music venue and gallery in Asheville, North Carolina.
Some fun facts: as a teenager, I was a top-ranked player in SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Fireteam Bravo. In 2007, I hosted a podcast about early iPhone games and was an admin on a popular iPod Touch and iPhone jailbreaking forum.
